Scholar is now a supplier on the G-Cloud 11 Framework

Scholar is thrilled to announce that it is now a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) G-Cloud 11 Framework, for Cloud Support Services.

Liz Batley, Client Services Director comments: “We are very proud to be on the G-Cloud 11 Framework. As a growing company, being able to bid for public sector cloud support services gives us a whole new market to be able to focus on. We have built a trusted reputation with businesses running high-uptime, critical workloads and we look forward to extending this offering to the public sector market. The Framework is a great tool for public sector organisations to search for suppliers for cloud hosting, cloud support and cloud software services.”

What is the Crown Commercial Services (CCS)?

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) acts on behalf of the Crown to drive savings for the taxpayer and improve the quality of commercial and procurement activity. CCS’s vision is to deliver value for the nation through outstanding commercial capability and quality customer service. Its procurement arrangements can be used by central government departments and organisations across the public sector including local government, health, education, not-for-profit and devolved administrations.

What is the G-Cloud Framework?

The G-Cloud framework is an agreement between the government and suppliers who provide cloud-based services.
G-Cloud services are divided into 3 categories, or ‘lots’:

• cloud hosting, for example content delivery networks or load balancing services
• cloud software, for example accounting tools or customer service management software
• cloud support, for example migration services or ongoing support

Scholar applied to provide Cloud Support Services on the Framework, which provide services to help public sector buyers set up and maintain their cloud services.

CCS is playing a vital role in helping to protect front line services by delivering significant and sustainable cost savings through its commercial activity and aggregated procurement arrangements.
