Scholar Shortlisted for ‘Most Innovative MSP’ 2019

The shortlist for the ‘Most Innovative MSP’ is for Managed Services Providers who can demonstrate innovation to develop a trusted advisor role with it’s clients and show tangible benefits to it’s clients business. The last few years has been a busy period for Scholar and when we thought back to all of the cloud managed services projects we have worked on, we had a hard time picking just one to put forward.

We chose to put a spotlight on one of our key telecoms clients who our team migrated their large, up-time critical environment, off AWS onto a hybrid infrastructure model. The migration took meticulous planning with the clients management and technical teams, to architect a new infrastructure model which fitted their operational requirements, but also where possible saved on their monthly infrastructure spend.

Liz Batley, Client Services Director comments: “This migration project is a great example to demonstrate how rethinking your infrastructure and working with an experienced Managed Services Provider (MSP) can benefit clients businesses operationally and commercially. Cloud is fantastic, but should not be your only option. We were able to explore cloud, dedicated hardware and multi-site solutions for our client which ended up delivering a 30% cost saving, as well as strengthening the resilience of their infrastructure. Key to the success was the trusted and respected relationship which Scholar was able to establish with the client and their whole team. We continue to work with the client to manage their infrastructure 24/7.”

Our team will be attending the UK Managed Service Awards 2019 in September with all the other finalists. Wish us luck!
